Rinpoche begins his teaching on this text with beautiful, profound, and detailed visualization instructions for practicing the Guru Rinpoche Prayer as a Gury Yoga of the Dzogchen lineage. For anyone who is familiar with the Guru Rinpoche Prayer these instructions are deeply moving and inspiring. Rinpoche then provides an extensive, clear, and detailed teaching on the Dzogchen view based on a verse by Longchenpa from The Treasury of Basic States of Phenomena (Dharmata). Rinpoche also teaches the ways in which the Dzogchen view is consistent with Mahamudra - ground and fruition inseparable. The Guru Rinpoche Prayer text presents the path - working with our mind, bringing body and mind onto the path. Rinpoche offers a detailed commentary on the path as expressed in the Guru Rinpoche Prayer text. His commentary includes numbeorus extremely useful associated practice instructions.
