Description
It is often said that almost all problems and misconceptions on the Buddhist path have their root in not fully understanding the characteristics of the two realities and their distinctions. The seeming or relative reality and the ultimate reality are not "just" some theory, but their implications are all-pervasive in both our view and our practice. In themselves, these two dimensions are a cornerstone of correctly understanding and experiencing our present conditioned and illusory situation as well as the possibility and methods of attaining the freedom and wisdom of a buddha.
During this weekend, MItra Karl Brunnholzl explored the basic teachings about the two realities, how they are understood in different Buddhist schools and in modern science, and how they apply to our practice, our value systems, and our experiences in daily life. Nalandabodhi Connecticut, April 2013. Five talks, one Q&A session and a Bodhisattva Vow ceremony.
