Description
This talk is about developing love and compassion. Thrangu Rinpoche teaches that even though loving kindness and compassion naturally abide in us, they are limited or partial. We have love and compassion for some, but lack it for others. He explains that the approach taken to develop love and compassion in Buddhism is to make them immeasurable. Rinpoche then teaches the meaning of the practice of The Four Immeasurables (immeasurable impartiality, immeasurable love, immeasurable compassion, and immeasurable joy). With respect to immeasurable love and compassion, he presents two practices: sending and taking and Chenrezig. He concludes by providing extensive opportunity for questions and answers. Lama Yeshe Gyamtso translated this talk.
