Description
The central theme of this weekend teaching is Aspiration and Inspiration. In four talks, Lama Kathy provides guidance for practitioners who have stalled in their practice after years of Shamatha meditation. In the first talk, Lama Kathy explains that pacification alone is not liberation and that aspiration and inspiration are the bridge to move from an interest in pacifying the mind to an interest in awakening. She explains how the three jewels and the three roots provide a source of inspiration. In the next three talks, she explains a verse about faith from Guru Rinpoche and then talks about several practices of aspiration and inspiration including refuge, compassion meditation, and guru yoga. She also introduces inspiring people, places, thoughts, prayers and words. Lama Kathy’s teaching is accessible, engaging and, of course, inspiring. These talks include frequent question and answer sessions. Four talks as an audio download.
