Jim Scott learned “songs of realization” from
Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche in the Tibetan tradition of
enlightened masters such as Milarepa, Guru Rinpoche, and Götsangpa. At
Rinpoche’s request, Jim translated these songs into English and gave
them melodies. In this special recording intended to help students easily and correctly learn the words and melodies Jim Scott sings (solo) 18 songs of realization, announcing the name of each song before singing it.
The song list is: Friends, Meaningful Connections, 18 Kinds of Yogic Joy, Distinguishing the Provisional from the Definitive, Eight Kinds of Mastery, Ema The Phenomena, Guru Rinpoche Prayer, Impartial Aspiration Prayer, Knowledge Fundamental to the Middle Way, Mind Itself Alone, No This and That, Profound Meaning on the Snowy Range, Self appearing illusion, Seven Delights, Song of Equality, The Great Open Wilderness, Three Nails, Milarepa's Dedication. NOTE: A PDF of the words of all 18 songs is included in the downloads. This PDF can be printed out, making it easy to learn the words of each song accurately. The PDF is the last file in the downloads.
